What cookies and similar storage mean
Cookies are small values associated with a website in your browser. Local storage can also remember information on your device. Storage/access rules can apply to both; a technology is not exempt merely because it is called local storage.
This website has no analytics or advertising integration and sets no application HTTP cookies. Automatic Cloudflare Web Analytics is disabled. It uses the two local preference keys below when you choose settings. A cookie banner asking you to accept marketing is therefore not shown. Browsing is not treated as consent to optional tracking.
Theme preference
Name: pickado-theme. Technology: local storage. Provider: this website. Purpose: remember the light or dark theme you explicitly select. Duration: until you switch, reset or clear it; no automatic expiry. It contains a theme value, not a visitor identifier, and is not sent to us.
Your selected preferences are saved in your browser and remembered on future visits when storage is available. You can change or reset them at any time using the website settings.
Without a stored override, the site follows your device’s light/dark setting. Blocking local storage still allows a temporary preference during the visit.
Accessibility preferences
Name: pickado-accessibility. Technology: local storage. Provider: this website. Purpose: remember the text size, loop pause, reduced motion and stronger contrast settings you choose. Duration: until changed, reset or cleared; no automatic expiry. It contains preference values, not a visitor identifier, and is not sent to us.
Use the Accessibility settings control at the bottom left to change or reset these options. Reset settings removes the saved accessibility preference and restores default values. Reset device theme removes the theme override. Your browser’s site-data controls can also delete these records. OS reduced-motion preferences still apply.
Local signature tool
The email signature generator does not create cookies, use browser storage, remember a profile or send entered details to a server. Your entries remain in the current page. Clipboard and file downloads occur only when you activate those controls.
Hosting security
Cloudflare provides delivery and security. Depending on the host’s configuration or a security challenge, it may use technically necessary security cookies. A protected preview may also have access-control cookies. These are distinct from the application’s two local preferences.
Turnstile runs on enquiry and application pages to prevent spam; our widget does not issue pre-clearance cookies. The dev.pickado.tech staging site and the members-only Brand Hub require Cloudflare Access authentication. Its authentication storage is separate from the public website preferences and expires according to the access session. Browser site-data controls show the cookies and expiry actually present in your session. Security cookies can vary with the request and challenge; we do not use them for marketing.
Media and external links
Most locally hosted videos display a local poster and load video data when you activate playback. The Home brand film may load and autoplay muted, depending on your motion preferences. Restricted interactive course samples load when requested; external requests, normal cookie access and persistent storage are blocked in their isolated frames. No learner identity, LMS score or completion record is collected by the website shell.
YouTube appears as an external link rather than an embedded player. No YouTube player or script loads before following that link. A representative video thumbnail is hosted locally. External websites then apply their own privacy and cookie practices.
Your controls
You can continue using the site’s content without changing any preference. Use your browser’s privacy/site-data settings to inspect, delete or block stored information for this site. Deleting the two preference keys removes remembered settings; it does not send a deletion request to Pickado or delete a hosting provider’s records.
These settings support features you request. If analytics, advertising, external embeds or other non-essential storage are introduced, they must remain blocked until the required informed choice is obtained. Refusal and later withdrawal must remain available; a normal browsing action is not consent. We will update this notice before activating any such technologies.
